1. PERSON IN CHARGE OF PROTECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Unlicensed Studio Ltd. can be reached at the address in section 12. Every access request, correction, withdrawal of consent and complaint goes to them.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

There are two ways this site collects anything, and this is all of it.

If you write to us through the contact form

• Your name
• Your email address, so we can reply
• Whatever you choose to put in the message itself

When you visit, if you accepted audience measurement

• Your IP address
• Your browser’s user agent string
• The page you landed on and the page that referred you
• A random visitor identifier, kept in a cookie, so repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than several

There are no accounts on this site, no payments, and no location data beyond what an IP address implies.

3. WHY WE USE IT

We do not sell your information, we do not run targeted advertising, and we do not profile anyone.

• To answer you when you write to us. A message from the contact form becomes a support ticket in our own system so it does not get lost.
• To count how many people read which pages, so we know what is worth writing.
• To keep abusive traffic off the site, by checking incoming addresses against a block list we maintain.

4. CONSENT AND WITHDRAWAL

Audience measurement runs only if you accepted it. Choose “Essential only” and no visitor identifier is created, no visit is recorded, and an identifier set before you decided is deleted on your next request.

Withdrawing is meant to be as easy as agreeing was, so it is one button:

Writing to us at the address in section 12 does the same thing, and clearing this site’s cookies in your browser withdraws it too.

5. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

None. Both the contact form and the visit counter write to systems Unlicensed Studio Ltd. runs itself. There is no advertising network here, no third-party analytics service, and no tag manager. Nothing on this page is shared with anyone outside the company.

6. HOSTING AND TRANSFERS OUTSIDE QUEBEC

The contact messages and the visit records sit on our own servers, in Quebec. They are not handed to a public cloud host, and nothing collected here is transferred outside Quebec.

7. RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION

• A message you send through the contact form is kept for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of the exchange, then destroyed.
• Visit records are kept to produce reading figures, and the visitor identifier that ties them together expires one year after your last visit.
• The cookies that record your own choices expire one year after you make them, and reappear as a fresh question after that.

8. SECURITY

The site is served over HTTPS. The visitor identifier is marked HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it, and it is a random value that means nothing on its own. Your message goes to our support system from our server rather than from your browser, so it is never posted across the open internet by the page you are on.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

The law gives you the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete
• Withdraw your consent
• Ask us to stop disseminating it, or to de-index a link
• Receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format

Write to the address in section 12. We answer access requests within the thirty days the statute allows.

10. COOKIES

This site sets three cookies and no others.

• uplus_sid: the random visitor identifier described in section 2. Audience measurement, so it is set only if you accepted. Expires after one year.
• cookieNotice: records that you have been shown the notice, so it stops asking. Expires after one year.
• analytics: records that you chose essential only. Its whole purpose is to switch the first one off. Expires after one year.

The last two exist only to remember a decision you made, and are set whichever way you decide.

11. AUTOMATED DECISIONS

We do not make any decision about you based exclusively on automated processing, and nothing here builds a profile of you.

13. CHANGES

This policy carries the date it took effect, at the top. When we change something that affects what we collect or who sees it, that date changes and the cookie notice asks again.
